How to find the best Rust server for you
There is no single best Rust server for everyone. A server that suits a solo vanilla player will bore someone who wants 10x PvE, and the other way round. What you can do is check a few things that separate a well-run server from one that will waste your wipe.
Below is a short checklist, and for each point, how the Atak servers handle it, so you can judge for yourself.
Fair rules: does money change the fight?
The first thing to check is whether paying players get better gear or extra commands. On Atak 1x, no in-game items or advantages are sold. VIP and Premium only give queue priority and chat cosmetics, and they can also be earned through Atak Rank at the end of a wipe.
On the PvE server, Atak 10x, some mods are sold as 30-day packs. Because players cannot attack each other there, a purchase does not hurt anyone else.
A schedule you can plan around
A good server tells you exactly when it wipes and sticks to it. Atak 1x wipes the map every Thursday at 18:00 Turkey time (GMT+3), with a blueprint wipe on the first Thursday of the month after the forced update. Atak 10x wipes on Thursdays at 19:00. The wipe calendar on the site shows the dates weeks ahead.
Rules that are enforced, not just written
A team limit only matters if someone checks it. On Atak 1x the limit is three, and an anti-teaming system tracks code locks, cupboards, turrets, bags, revives, vehicles and proximity, with staff reviewing the records. Cheating is handled by Atak Guard, which watches combat stats, the game's AntiHack signals and player reports around the clock.
Staff are usually active from 10:00 to 24:00 Turkey time every day, and the support assistant Rusty answers on the site at any hour, with staff following every action it takes.
Transparency about what happens on the map
Finally, look for a server that is open about how it is doing. Every Atak server page shows the live player count, a seven-day graph and uptime. For Atak 1x you also get a live event map, a wipe page with highlights and full player profiles, so you can see the server's activity before you commit a wipe to it.
How do I connect?
- Start Rust on Steam.
- Open the console with F1 in the main menu.
- Copy the connect line above, paste it into the console and press Enter. Or search for "Atak" in the in-game server list.
