Playing solo is not a handicap, it is a different game. A team's power is numbers; yours is invisibility, timing and discipline. The goal is not to win every fight, but to keep progressing.
Stay unseen
A giant landmark base is a target board for a solo. Instead:
- Use several small storage bases and scattered stashes so one raid does not end you.
- Tuck your base into natural cover and reduce light and sound leaks.
- Place backup sleeping bags in different spots so death gives you options.
Solo golden rule: do not carry what you cannot afford to lose. Bank loot home often.
Read the timing
Big groups hit monuments and farm loops at set times. Watch them and use the gaps: while they are at Launch Site, be at a quieter recycler.
Small but smart base
A 2x1 or compact 1x1 + honeycomb is enough for solo. Keep upkeep low so daily maintenance is light. Always add an airlock — solos die most to door-camping.
Exit plan
- Pick your return route before every farm run.
- Bank valuable components before your inventory is full; greed loses runs.
- Escaping is always a valid option; a dead solo is worth less than banked loot.
